If you're familiar with my darling pet of a Sydney Losstarot site, or just familiar with me in general, it'll come to you that I have a thing for blonds. Blonds from Squarenix games, to be exact.

No, I did not plan that. And yes, I count Billy Lee Black as a blond just for the sake of having him as number three. ... but I digress.

This is supposed to be the "Why I made this site" section, so here goes on... uh, why I made this site.

Because Edgar is cool, that's why.

No, seriously, he's the type that makes you want to smack him a thousand and two shades of blue for being such a pimp king. And then the second after, you fall in love all over again because he IS a pimp king, but so funny and charmingly silly and geniusfied and all those other clichés you find in a teengirl's magazine.

Not that I read teengirl magazines. Digression, say hello!

A wonder of FF6 is that the characters are so styled, character class. The thief, the damsel, the playboy, the ninja. For anyone who hasn't indulged this lovely, lovely game, Terra will just be another lady in distress. And I suppose that means Celes would be frigid damsel. But they're not. Well, they are, but not in that exact fashion. Just as Edgar is not your playboy, but your Playboy With Depth.

Which is another character style, but he's good. Maybe the Squarenix just threw things together to give him a past and an angle, but I like to delude myself into thinking they put a little more effort into Edgar's makeup. With the simple element of playboy implanted into his personality, already we have a character whose psychology and hormonal tendencies are a mix to be gleefully pondered.

Which I did, if only a little. Ah ha.

Just to say--! He's blond. He's awesome. He's blond and awesome. I think I'm done here.
